The parks at LAAX in Switzerland host some of the biggest competitions in the winter calendar. However, none are more coveted than the LAAX Open. Hailed as the most important snowboard event in the European mountains, this event doesn't beat about the bush. Straight up pipe and slopestyle for both men and women. After that it’s just great terrain with a range of parks all ready for the taking. It’s probably worth mentioning that the parties at the LAAX Open are pretty wild too.

This inaugural event is now a firmament in every British skier and snowboarders winter itinerary. It kicks the season off perfectly and is not only a great place to see the new season’s equipment on show, listen to live music, and of course watch the big air events. Some of the UK’s finest ski and snowboard athletes will be throwing down everything from triple-corked spins, to smooth and stylish methods. It’s worth pointing out that Sir Ranulph Fiennes will be speaking at this year’s Ski & Snowboard Showtoo – now there’s a man that knows the benefits of a good quality base layer…

2020 X Games Aspen

Once again the Winter X Games will return to Colorado’s Buttermilk Mountain in Aspen. With a handy iPhone app already available to download, you can plan your visit with meticulous precision so that you don't miss your favourite events – whether it’s the women’s pipe, or the Men’s slopestyle. Of course there is also all the vendors and live music that comes with the world’s most celebrated fresstyle event. The BRITStake place in LAAX too and serves as the biggest event of the year for UK shredders or all ages. Following on from the BRITS Indoor Champs, visitors and competitors at the BRITS can expect to see faces from the UK’s indoor and dryslope scene take on freshly groomed kickers, rails and pipe. Hosted at one of the best designed parks in Europe, partnered with reliable snow conditions, The BRITS is a perfect excuse for some springtime sun and snow.

The Burton US Open

The Burton US Open Snowboarding Championships has some of the best live event coverage going. This event literally takes over the resort of Vail and includes a whole roster of demos, live music and interactive events. Look out for Olympic medalists like Mark McMorris, Maddie Mastro and Aymu Hirano as they battle for some of the most envied titles in snowboarding.
