A Christmas Winter Warmer

The ultimate is a day of stoke and exertion in the cold, then head inside to warm up next to a fire with a mug of something warm. To keep the snug feeling going, nothing beats a mulled wine, a vin chaud, a Glühwein.
Our favourite recipe for this was handed to us by a retiring bar owner in the Tarentaise.
1 bottle of Côté du Rhone
50g Savoie honey
1 Large orange, flame peel, sliced small
4 Star anise
Sprinkle of cloves
2 Sticks of cinnamon
Method: Add it all to a pan and simmer for 20 minutes.
