FLŌA, The Ski Club of Great Britain and James Orr Heliski invite you to a special evening with four times Winter Olympic skier Chemmy Alcott.
An evening with FLOA: Chemmy will be talking about her previous life as an athlete, her role as ambassador with the Ski Club of Great Britain, her current media work and how being a mum and mum to be impacts on her plans for this winter.
It’s also the official launch for the trip Chemmy will host to Alagna, Italy, during March 2019 with James Orr Heliski.
The Mountains in Central London
The evening also presents a chance to visit the newly opened White Haus venue, a dedicated winter sports pub in London affiliated to the Ski Club of Great Britain.
Spread over three floors, The White Haus is the mountains in London: rustic timber chalet-style décor, a roaring fireplace, sheepskin throws, ‘snowflake’ chandeliers and a bookable cable car for six.
With quirky ski memorabilia courtesy of the Ski Club of Great Britain and old ski movies screenings it’s the closest you can get to a traditional chalet in the UK.
A Celebration of the Backcountry
Baselayer partner, FLŌA will also be exhibiting their new Backcountry Baselayer during the evening where people can try and experience the mapped compression and taregted ventilation of the FLOA-MAP technology for themselves.
There will be a drinks reception followed by a Q&A session with Chemmy – there’s a chance to meet and speak to Chemmy afterwards along with staff from the Ski Club of Great Britain and James Orr from James Orr Heliski.
Date: Wednesday November 21
Time: 7-9pm
Location: The White Haus, 17 Farringdon Street, London, EC4A 4AB
