We Partnered With The Best
The manufacturer of our performance base layers demanded a certain calibre of expertise. From the Merrow stitching, the careful handling of fabrics, and the exacting level of precision, our search led us to the iconic P&R.
P&R Texteis
Set up in 1982, this Portuguese textile powerhouse has some big hitting accolades to its name and has produced active sportswear for the Olympic Games and the Tour De France among others.
With a technology driven mindset, the guys at P&R are adept to producing the highest quality garments in the industry. The most cutting edge techniques are put into play alongside reliable, trusted practices, resulting in a truly dynamic output.

Developing The All Action
Our relationship with P&R has led to the development of the All Action base layer - a multifunctional legging and long sleeve top. The All Action was designed to work seamlessly between your activities.
Whether it’s for a HIIT workout, a yoga class, a winter run on the moors, or as a traditional base layer beneath your outerwear, the All Action is your go-to. P&R were integral in the performance of this base layer.
Sustainability
As well as helping us to produce high performing active wear and sports garments, P&R are also an important part of our sustainability practice. Their factory has environmental management procedures in place that ensure compliance across energy management and waste recycling management.
This is in addition to being certified for social accountability, quality management and research and development innovation in new products and techniques. In fact, one of the main reasons we chose P&R is that they share our ethos of caring about employees, product and processes.

Research & Development
Let’s talk a little bit more about P&R’s research and development innovation. Over the years the factory has built relationships with a vast network of universities, athletes, sports federations and clubs.
This has allowed P&R to leverage their knowledge and gain vital insights in garment technology, finding out what works and what doesn’t from leading experts in the field as well as those out putting in the hard yards on the track. This provides a full package when it comes to product knowledge.
This helps us gain crucial insights into new capabilities before they even come to market. We get to know the real issues athletes face whether it’s straight out the gates, or on mile 20 of a marathon. It’s about developing products that are not just fit for purpose, but that excel in their application.
What This Means For You
When we set out to build FLŌA, we were committed to delivering base layers that really worked. We wanted to strike that harmonious balance of warmth, comfort and breathability. Having spent years up in the mountains, we knew first-hand how even the most expensive base layers can let you down after a full day on the hill.
Our approach was meticulous and demanding, leading us to seek out partners that shared our dedication. The result is a collection that works intuitively with you throughout your activities. Durable, reliable and hard wearing, but also with a second skin comfort and un-matched breathability.
